To disable comments on WordPress, you can follow these steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to “Settings” and click on “Discussion.”

3. On the “Discussion Settings” page, you’ll see various options related to comments.

4. Uncheck the box that says “Allow people to submit comments on new articles.” This will disable comments for future posts.

5. If you want to disable comments on existing posts as well, you have two options:

– Option 1: Go to “Posts” in the WordPress dashboard and select the posts on which you want to disable comments. From the “Bulk Actions” drop-down menu, choose “Edit” and click the “Apply” button. In the “Comments” section, select “Do not allow” and click the “Update” button.

– Option 2: Install a plugin called “Disable Comments” by Samir Shah. This plugin provides a quick way to disable comments on all existing posts and pages. Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, go to “Settings” and then “Disable Comments.” Choose the appropriate options, such as disabling comments on posts, pages, media, and more.

6. After completing the above steps, comments should be disabled on your WordPress site. However, it’s recommended to double-check your site to ensure that comments are indeed disabled as expected.

Remember to save your settings after making any changes. Additionally, if you’re using a custom WordPress theme, it may have its own comment settings that you should check and disable if necessary.
